Walked in on a thursday, she scheduled me for that Saturday, in and out within 2 hours and NEVER LOOKED BETTER! My stylist (Sherri) informed me she could get my hair softer (it's very brittle (overprocessed)) and she could get it to grow. 1 month later and you'd never be able to tell my hair was in such bad condition 30 days prior. It's soft it finally hulds curl. she shows you how to maintain it and gives you great care products. Great presonality, very professional & knowledgeable & I woul recommend this salon to all. Quan

I came across this salon in passing and spoke with Chanterre regarding her expertise with healthy hair and styling. Her hair looked nice and the pictures she had in the salon here beautiful. I discussed a style and showed her a picture in which she informed me what type and location to retrieve the hair for my weave style. I always ask the stylist does she feel comfortable and able to do whichever style I inquire about and I did this with Chanterre. I was quoted a price and I made an appointment for 11:30am. I expect some delays on Friday, but 6hrs UNACCEPTABLE. I waited 1 hour to get shampoo. The customers continued to come in for other stylists, and her, who appeared to also be behind with their appointments. I was even set aside (for about an hour) while she had an extensive conversation while shampooing another customer, who also appeared to be a close friend. Well after several hours my end result; well yes, I must admit that the style was gorgeous, BUT not what I asked for. It required alot of maintenance that I did not plan to do. And although I was quoted a price it was $20 more when it came time to pay because of additions she conducted. This is fine if I was told at the time that it was occurring, so I could decided my hair and how much I was willing to spend. If you are friends or close associates with the stylists in this salon, this is a highly recommendation, but if you are searching for a salon and you want to get what you expect and pay for in a timely manner; this salon is definitely not for you.

Hi, I am the owner of Chanterre Designs and although I do not know the circumstances of you visit I am so sorry you had a not so great experience. It looks like you may have come in around Christmas which is a very busy time for salons, but if you were not getting extensions or a service that requires many hours to preform then you should not have been in the studio for 6 hours. Our goal is to please all who come into our establishment and I would be happy to give you a complementary hairstyle or gift certificate on our behalf. I think Chanterre Hair Designs Studio is well managed. The owner is a very active and concerned about the community inwhich her business is located. She is truly a professional person and her knowlege skills and abilities are seen in all of her creations. My experience with her services has been excellent and I enjoy observing her in actions.

I have been coming to Sherry for 2 1/2 years now, and I am here to stay. In the past I would always have a stylist that made me happy in one aspect of my hair care but unhappy with something else. With Sherry, I have the total package. She is very knowledgeable about hair care and MY hair care. Most of all, I feel that she is passionate about the profession, which makes her an excellent stylist. Never have I met someone that could do whatever style you ask, until meeting her. I have had the experience of stylist swaying my decision about a style due to time contraints or making excuses of why not to get a certain style because if my hair texture. Sherry, does not do that. When I get out of her chair, I have the style I want, in addition to a healthy head of hair. Whether your preference is natural, perm, or weave, she does it all. All of that, plus a positive and relaxful atmosphere..............I wouldn't have it any other way!

I drive home to Baltimore every 2 weeks to get my hair done because I am semi-natural with color and no one here seems to get it straight enough without drying it out. I went to this salon and left with body and shine and my hair is straighter than it has ever been before (even when I had a perm). I was so excited I made an appointment for 2 weeks and dont have to worry about all that gas money anymore!!!.
