Build a cot for me in the back and I will call this place home. Belmont Butchery's selection is wonderful, from their in-house cured bacon and pate to their fresh chicken to their wonderful cuts of meat. I knew this place was something when the butcher came out from behind the counter nearly cuddling a piece of local grass-fed beef discussing the marbling of the meat. Belmont Butchery is a necessity for any cook; you will never again have to receive a blank stare from a supermarket "butcher" when requesting a more esoteric cut of meat or deal with certain local organic markets whose meat section doesn't carry what you're looking for, and whose employees act as if they don't have the time to deal with you. The service is incredibly friendly, helpful with whatever you need, and after my second trip they already had me feeling like I'd been shopping there for years. If they don't have it, which is hard to believe, they can find it for you. Their selection is also wonderful for those of us who support slow food and buy organically. They have a wide selection of meats brought in from local farmers, and its wonderful to buy bacon so fresh it came from a farm an hour away. This place cannot be suggested enough, going is worth every single penny you will spend.
