Got my nails done here with a gift certificate-however when I called to make an appt, they charged my credit card (which is illegal by the way-didn't know until later). The acrylic nails fell off two days later-called Ava's they would NOT repair them. Ava was rude and could care less! Don't waste your money here!

I wish I had read these comments before I had gone there! Here’s what happened just last week. My husband and I were visiting from the West Coast; it was a surprise birthday gift for my stepdaughter. My stepdaughter called Ava’s and the first comment was we needed to secure with a credit card, I said absolutely not. That should have been my first clue. She said they were not able secure the appointment and will have to wing it, also it would be 2 hours for a Pedi which I could understand the high price for a 2 hour Pedi and the request for the credit card. Well the next day me, my stepdaughter and my teenage grand daughter got there, there were no clients to be seen our 2 hour Pedi lasted about 40 minutes plus she added on a 20% gratuity. The Pedi’s were just ok certainly not a $48.00 Pedi I’ve had better $20.00 Pedi’s. Of the 3 of us I was the only one that had any leg massage and that was about 3 minutes. One of the manicurists told a very off colored joke in front of my grand daughter. In the mist of the Pedi one of the hairdressers came in and asked if we would like a hair service as well, which is ok and we declined thinking a 2 hour Pedi would be long enough. Well he then came back in and was flirting with my married stepdaughter. Almost insisting she have her hair dyed by him. She declined again. On our way out I was paying the bill and that same hairdresser was following my stepdaughter around like a puppy dog in heat! We were not happy… I found Ava unprofessional, I feel sorry for the employee’s they all acted like salesmen, and very rushed. I hope they read this and find a better working environment, which will teach them customer service. My advice is to go someplace else unless you don’t mind wasting your time and money.

I had the worst experience at this so called "Spa". My appointment was scheduled for 1:45 at 1:50 they took me and my friend back for our pedicures. One of the workers started on my friends pedicure and they sat me in the chair, I put my feet in the water and waited 25 minutes and the FINALLY this lady comes out and says "Oh I did not know I had a client here". By the time she came out my water for my feet was ice cold! She was done with my pedicure in 15 min!!!!!!! My feet look like my 9 year old stepdaughter painted them blind folded. Then I go to get the manicure.... If you want to call it a manicure she just rubbed lotion on my hands and put clear polish on! Everybody in the place was gossiping about each other. And there is a guy that works in the salon he was hitting on both me and my friend asking us personal things about our marriage and I am 7 months pregnant! The owner is very RUDE! I would not send anybody to this awful place. As soon as I got there I had a bad feeling about this place.

I had the worst experience at this spa!! The service was horrible!! My friend and I went in for 2 pedicures and 2 manicures. My pedicure was 50 minutes and hers was 20 minutes. We were charged the same price and for a party of two 20% gratituity. The owner was very rude!!!! I would not recommend this spa to anyone!!!!!!!!!!

I went to Ava's a couple of years ago; I made appointments each time I went. The first time, the girl cut my hair really short (didn't consult me; it was pretty long when I walked in), but fortunately, I liked it (I'd had short hair before). The second and last time I went there, the woman who cut my hair went out for ice cream while my color was processing (thought that was rude?!). That was the last time I went there. Also, the atmosphere just reminds me of a brothel (notice the small rooms where you get waxing? I got my eyebrows waxed both times). Plus, whoever was running the place had on a headset and seemed to be rushing all around. It was weird.
